What Selah Now collects

• Your email address — required to access the service, used only to manage your daily conversation and to send your Q&A transcript. Never sold. Never shared with third parties.
• Your questions — processed in real time to generate responses. Not stored in a permanent database linked to your identity.
• Your optional feedback comment — used solely to improve the service and, with your explicit permission, as an anonymous testimonial.

How your information is used

• To deliver your Selah Now responses and email your conversation transcript
• To manage the one-conversation-per-month-per-email policy, which may change without prior notice
• To contact you about Selah Now if you remain on the list

What Selah Now does not do

• Sell, rent, or share your email with any third party
• Store your spiritual questions in a way that identifies you personally
• Use your data for advertising or profiling

Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

We process your email address on the basis of your consent, given when you check the Privacy Policy box. You may withdraw consent and request deletion at any time by emailing selahnow@proton.me. If you are located in the European Union, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Data retention

Your email address is retained until you request deletion. Conversation content is processed in real time and is not stored on our servers. Conversation transcripts are emailed to you once at session completion and are not retained by us.

Data processors

Your questions are processed by Anthropic, Inc. under their API privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy. Conversation transcripts are delivered via Resend, Inc. Both processors operate under standard contractual clauses for international data transfers.

Do not sell my information

Selah Now does not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party for commercial purposes. To request deletion of your data: selahnow@proton.me.

1. What Selah Now Is

Selah Now is an AI reasoning tool operated by Selah Now LLC, a California limited liability company. It draws on twelve wisdom traditions across six continents to help you think through hard questions. It is not a chatbot designed to simulate a human relationship. It is not a therapist, counselor, psychologist, or licensed mental health professional. It is not a medical provider, legal advisor, or spiritual director. Every decision that emerges from a conversation belongs to you — Selah Now clarifies terrain; it does not decide for you.

2. Who May Use Selah Now

Selah Now is designed for adults 18 years of age and older. By providing your email address and checking the age confirmation box, you represent that you are 18 or older. If you are under 18, you may not use this service. Use of Selah Now is permitted only for personal, non-commercial purposes unless you have entered into a separate commercial licensing agreement with Selah Now LLC.

3. AI Disclosure

You are interacting with an artificial intelligence system, not a human. Selah Now's responses are generated by a large language model (Claude, provided by Anthropic, Inc.) operating under a proprietary four-layer reasoning architecture developed by Selah Now LLC. Responses are automated outputs — they are not reviewed by a human before delivery. Selah Now LLC is not responsible for any action you take based on a response generated by this system.

4. Limitation of Liability

Selah Now is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Selah Now LLC expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Selah Now LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of or relating to your use of Selah Now — including any action you take or fail to take based on a response generated by the service.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraudulent misrepresentation.

5. Not a Crisis Service

Selah Now is not a crisis service. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please contact a trained human immediately. 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline — call or text 988. Crisis Text Line — text HOME to 741741. Selah Now's crisis routing is immutable and cannot be disabled by any operator or configuration.

6. Your Content

The questions you ask are yours. Selah Now LLC does not claim ownership of your questions. Your questions are processed in real time and are not stored in a database linked to your identity. Your conversation transcript is emailed to you and is not retained by Selah Now LLC after delivery.

7. Selah Now's Intellectual Property

The Selah Now name, the Selah Now™ trademark, the four-layer reasoning architecture, the system prompt, and all associated intellectual property are owned exclusively by Gary Christmas / Selah Now LLC and are protected by copyright, trademark, and trade secret law. You may not reproduce, reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract the operational architecture of Selah Now without express written permission.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Selah Now to: produce harmful content; harass or threaten others; violate any applicable law; circumvent any safety or crisis routing protocol; represent that Selah Now's responses constitute professional advice; or use the service on behalf of a minor.

9. Privacy

Your use of Selah Now is also governed by our Privacy Policy, incorporated into these Terms by reference.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute shall be resolved in the courts of Orange County, California.

11. Changes

Selah Now LLC may update these Terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

How Selah Now Detects Crisis Signals

Selah Now's four-layer reasoning architecture includes a dedicated crisis escalation layer (Layer 4D) that monitors every incoming question before any response is generated. If language suggesting suicidal ideation, self-harm, or acute mental health crisis is detected, the system stops its reasoning process entirely and routes immediately to crisis resources — providing 988 and the Crisis Text Line before any other response.

What Triggers the Crisis Protocol

• Expressions of suicidal ideation or intent
• Self-harm signals or descriptions
• Language indicating acute safety risk
• Active psychiatric crisis indicators
